-Perennials-
Without a doubt, perennials are one of the most rewarding plants you can grow in
your garden, because they come back year after year when properly cared for and
provide color throughout various seasons of the year. An assortment of Tulips
can brighten the dull spots in your landscape as they gracefully pop open with
blooms in the early spring. The heat of the summer is no problem for a heavily
blooming, bright yellow Coreopsis. And who could forget about the beautiful
harvest colors provided by Mums in the fall of the year? Perennials come up in
the spring, bloom, and die back each winter only to arise again the following
spring as the sun warms the earth. Most perennials are started in greenhouses in
early spring to give them a good start in growing for the year. Be sure to wait
until after the last frost has passed us by before planting tender perennials in
your garden.
